Global first G8.6 line targets lower laptop and monitor prices
The t8 Project represents the world's first G8.6 generation printed OLED mass production line. It uses an inkjet printing process to deposit organic materials, which differs from the traditional evaporation method. This approach allows for standard RGB vertical stripe pixel arrangements, solving the text blurriness issues that often plague traditional OLEDs in office scenarios.

TCL Huaxing CEO Zhao Jun stated that the line will officially start production in the fourth quarter of 2027. Despite the late production start, devices using these panels may launch in 2024 as small-batch verification is currently ongoing with major PC brands. The project has already met customer mass production standards for yield and cost metrics.
