STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a first-person shooter set in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The game launched in 2024 as a sequel to the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. According to Wccftech, it is a worthy successor in every regard, good and bad.

Cost of Hope is a paid expansion, but owners of the Ultimate Edition get it at no extra cost. The DLC includes a fresh storyline and new environments to explore, expanding the game world. GSC Game World has not announced a specific release date beyond summer 2026.

Alongside the DLC, a free update called Sealed Truth will add story content set in the X-18 lab. This update will be available to all players. The X-18 lab is a location from the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

The DLC and free update aim to extend the lifespan of STALKER 2. Players can expect more narrative content and new challenges in the expansion. GSC Game World has not revealed pricing for Cost of Hope yet.
