HUMAIN, a technology company backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, introduced two new laptop models at the LEAP 2026 conference. The launch represents a strategic shift for the vendor, which aims to compete with established PC makers by combining its hardware with proprietary software. These devices are designed for users seeking high-performance AI capabilities and modern connectivity standards in a portable form factor.

Two new ARM-based models offer 14-inch OLED displays and 80 TOPS of AI processing power

The new lineup consists of the Horizon and the Horizon Ultra, both built around Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 Elite processors. The standard Horizon model utilizes a 12-core X2E-80-100 processor, while the Ultra variant steps up to an 18-core X2E-88-100 chip. Both laptops share a common foundation of 32GB LPDDR5X memory and a dedicated neural processing unit capable of 80 TOPS, ensuring robust performance for local AI workloads.

Visually, the devices feature 14-inch 16:10 OLED touchscreens, with the Horizon offering a 1920×1200 resolution and the Horizon Ultra providing a sharper 2880×1800 display. Storage options align with the tiered processing power, as the base model includes a 512GB SSD and the Ultra comes equipped with a 1TB SSD. The chassis measures 16.6mm in thickness and weighs 1.288kg, housing a 70Whr battery alongside a 9.2MP IP camera.

Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, supported by three USB4 ports for high-speed data transfer and peripheral expansion. While both models currently ship with Windows 11 Pro, HUMAIN has confirmed that future 2027 iterations will transition to a proprietary HUMAIN OS. This software change indicates the company's long-term goal to manage the user experience across both the hardware and operating system layers.
