HP is launching the OmniBook 3, a budget laptop designed to bring ARM-based efficiency to mainstream buyers. This device offers a low entry point for users who need portable computing without the premium price tag of high-end ultrabooks. The $499.99 price point makes it an accessible option for students and casual professionals.

Budget laptop offers OLED screen and ARM efficiency

The laptop runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor, which features eight Oryon CPU cores and an Adreno X1-45 GPU. HP pairs this silicon with a 14-inch 1920×1200 OLED display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen delivers 300 nits of brightness and a 0.2 ms response time for clear visuals.

Best Buy lists the OmniBook 3 for $499.99, which represents a $100 discount from its standard $599.99 value. HP claims the laptop provides more than 41 hours of battery life, though this figure comes from internal testing and may vary by workload. The device is currently available at Best Buy as part of a temporary 60th Anniversary Deal.

We looked at HP OmniBook Ultra 14 with Core in our earlier Hp coverage. The OmniBook 3 serves as a distinct entry-level alternative to those higher-performance models. Buyers seeking long battery life and a bright OLED screen can now access these features at a significantly lower cost.
