HP has introduced two new laptops built around the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform, bringing dedicated AI acceleration to its consumer lineup. This development marks a significant transition by bringing high-end neural processing capabilities from desktop workstations to portable devices for the first time. Users requiring local AI workloads or creative applications can now access this hardware in a portable form factor without needing a bulky desktop tower. The OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 mark HP's initial adoption of the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform.
New HP laptops feature NVIDIA RTX Spark AI acceleration and OLED displays
The larger OmniBook Ultra 16 targets power users with a 16-inch 3K OLED display that carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. HP equips the OmniBook Ultra 16 with up to 128GB of unified memory to support demanding multitasking and large language models. The company claims the system delivers up to 1 PFLOP of FP4 AI performance, which accelerates generative tasks significantly. The smaller OmniBook X 14 offers a 14-inch OLED screen with the same DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standard but focuses on portability.

Both laptops share a fast-charging capability that restores up to 50 percent of battery capacity in approximately 30 minutes. The OmniBook Ultra 16 supports up to 17 hours of battery life under HP's testing conditions. HP rates the thinner OmniBook X 14 for up to 15 hours of continuous use. The X 14 model ships with support for a 140W USB-C GaN power adapter to keep the chassis slim.
HP plans to release both laptops this fall through its own store and other retailers. We looked at HP OmniBook Ultra 14 with Core in our earlier Hp coverage to track the brand's recent hardware direction. The company is also preparing an OmniDesk desktop based on the same RTX Spark platform, though detailed specifications for that system are not available yet. HP has not yet published full resolution, memory or storage specifications for the OmniBook X 14.
These announcements indicate that NVIDIA's new mobile GPU architecture is beginning to appear in the laptop market this fall. HP markets these devices as high-performance tools for creators and AI enthusiasts who require portability. The fall release window gives buyers a clear timeline for when to expect these systems in stores.
