The technical update focuses heavily on visual fidelity and frame rate stability for current-generation hardware. Ubisoft has implemented better distance rendering, enhanced lighting and shadows, and a sharper image that targets 4K resolution. Ubisoft is distributing the Last Rites update as a free title update for all owners of Ghost Recon Wildlands. The company is also running a broader free-to-play promotion where both Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint are free to play from August 6 to August 10. Additionally, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier becomes free to redeem on PC through Ubisoft Connect from August 6 until August 13, allowing PC players to access the original entry in the series.
