Creative Technology has launched the Sound Blaster AE-X, a new internal sound card aimed at audiophiles. The release targets users seeking high-fidelity audio performance for PC builds.
Flagship PCIe audio card features ESS DAC and discrete headphone amplifier
The AE-X is an internal PCIe sound card designed to replace motherboard audio solutions. It features an ESS SABRE DAC (ES9039Q2M) capable of supporting up to 130 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 32-bit / 384 kHz playback resolution.
A dedicated discrete headphone amplifier is included on the board, allowing it to drive high-impedance headphones effectively. This setup targets listeners who prefer premium audio equipment over standard integrated sound solutions.
Pricing for the Sound Blaster AE-X is set at SGD$269 (approximately USD$211). The card is available now via Creative's Singapore store, with no other regional availability confirmed yet.
