If you’re looking for a budget laptop with ARM-based Windows, there is now a clear $620 option. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3X offers the efficiency of Snapdragon X in a traditional 15-inch package. It isn’t at the premium level of some other options. Instead, this one is more aimed at students and remote workers that need that all-day battery life and solid AI on device.
Budget laptop features Snapdragon X SoC and 16GB RAM for $620
With Windows 11 and a Snapdragon X System on a Chip, this is a Copilot+ PC. That means the processor architecture is built in a way to have the system do a lot of background tasks and AI functionality without sending you back to a charger quickly. We think it is a great choice for those that need mobile and silent, over the high-performance games.

Lenovo says the ARM-based efficiency in the device will keep it cool, quiet, and working through a full day of work or class. The NPU will enable the AI on-device features for Windows 11. These include live captions, translation, AI image creation, and more intelligent search. They will be on-device functions versus relying on the cloud.
The IdeaPad Slim 3X is up for grabs on Amazon for $620. It’s at a nice price point compared to other budget options in the marketplace. This could include some like the MacBook Neo.
We’ve been keeping our eye on the IdeaPad Slim 3X. We previously covered its launch with Snapdragon C11-0100 for a budget Windows on ARM deployment.

twelve hundred resolution on a fifteen inch screen is actually usable tbh. six hundred bucks for snapdragon x is wild right now.
