introduced two new low-cost laptops that run on Arm, giving budget buyers a chance to try ARM-based computing without paying premium prices. The IdeaPad Slim 3x (11) models ship with the Snapdragon C11-0100 chip, which targets everyday tasks like web browsing and office work rather than heavy gaming or video editing. These machines matter because they bring the always-connected benefits of ARM to the entry-level segment, where price sensitivity usually forces buyers into older or hardware.

The lineup includes the 14-inch IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 and the 15-inch IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q7X11. Both devices rely on a Qualcomm Snapdragon C11-0100 processor that combines an eight-core CPU with a four-core Adreno GPU. This platform choice shifts the focus from raw desktop performance to efficiency and connectivity, which suits students and casual users who prioritize battery life and constant internet access over intensive local processing.

Hardware configurations start modestly with 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X-6393 memory and up to 128GB of UFS 3.1 embedded storage. Lenovo added a practical M.2 2242 PCIe Gen3 x2 slot for users who need to expand storage beyond the base model. The 14-inch screen offers a 1920×1200 IPS panel with 400 nits brightness and 45% NTSC color coverage, while the 15-inch version adds an optional 100% sRGB multi-touch display for those who need better color accuracy for light creative work.

Connectivity features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0 to keep these entry-level devices current with modern wireless standards. Port selection includes two USB-A 5Gbps ports, two full-featured USB-C 5Gbps ports, an HDMI 1.4 output, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card reader for flexible peripheral support. The 14-inch model weighs 1.39kg and the 15-inch version weighs 1.59kg, both carrying a 50Whr battery that supports all-day mobile use for light tasks.

We touched on Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 Launches in our earlier Lenovo coverage, where the company showcased higher-end Snapdragon X2 options with significantly larger batteries. The Slim 3x series sits below that tier by using the older C11-0100 chip and smaller 50Whr cells, but it keeps the same ARM architecture for users who want the platform experience at a lower cost. This positioning allows Lenovo to offer a complete Windows on Arm ecosystem across different price points without confusing buyers with fragmented hardware generations.
