Brand loyalty is relatively low in China, and any negative sentiment on social media can spread fast. Gamers who are concerned about Logitech's products should know that Logitech's marketing strategy in China is a thorny problem with PR risks.

Logitech G Audio & Video Flagship Store Official Account published the promotional picture which includes a cartoon dog meme saying 'No interest' for 100 YUAN (About $15.01) discount, but saying good for a bigger discount of 60% after coupons. Netizens felt that the dog meme was to ridicule that the consumers act like dogs when discount appears. It's like GPW3 mouse's incident before.

This comes after a previous incident on March 26, when Logitech Official Flagship Store used 'When the price drops, aren't you still running over like a dog?' to promote GPW3 mouse. Back then, it caused great dissatisfaction from players, and the tendency of ignoring consumers' feelings came out. After the incident, the picture on this promotional post was taken down from the account when they were getting criticized. But the damage has been done to the brand's reputation in this area.

This incident has led to a lot of trending discussions and huge criticism in Chinese gaming communities. Because they repeatedly use dog words to describe consumers' behavior, they are considered very disrespectful by many people. Logitech still hasn't given any apology for this.

So there's no resolution to this incident. Is there something wrong with Logitech's marketing strategy in China?
