AFK Journey and Tales of Terrarum lead the new freebies
Notable free games include AFK Journey, an open-world card battler with RPG elements, and Tales of Terrarum, a management adventure simulator with colorful visuals. Other titles are Ecto, a physics-based platformer; Prehistoric Pack, a dinosaur auto battler; Rootnote, an action-adventure puzzle game; S.O.R.N., a mecha action game; Hex Strikers, a funfair strongman game; SKATR, a 2D skating platformer; and Hope Harrison, an action-roguelike horror game.
AFK Journey, Tales of Terrarum, and Ecto became available on April 28. Prehistoric Pack and Hex Strikers launched on April 30. Rootnote and S.O.R.N. arrived on May 1. SKATR and Hope Harrison were released earlier on April 17.
The new free games add variety to Steam's growing library of no-cost titles. Many of these games have already built positive communities, with user ratings often exceeding 85%. The releases were spotted by the account SteamGamesPC, which tracks new additions to the platform.
