Pulsar and Noctua are releasing a co-branded gaming mouse that integrates a built-in cooling fan, a feature designed to keep hands dry during intense sessions. The design addresses the issue of hand slippage caused by perspiration, providing a physical cooling solution for a frequent ergonomic challenge. The device, called the Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition, merges high-performance sensor hardware with active thermal management.
Co-branded gaming mouse ships July 21 with active cooling
The mouse shell is constructed from carbon fiber composite, which helps keep the total weight down to approximately 73 grams. Inside this lightweight chassis sits a Nordic nRF54L15 system-on-chip that manages connectivity and processing. The device also features optical microswitches to ensure consistent click registration without mechanical wear issues.
Specifications
- Weight: 73g
- Dimensions: 121.7 x 66.5 x 43.3 mm
- Sensor: XS-2 Optical
- Max DPI: 42000
- Polling Rate: 8kHz
A standout technical detail is the inclusion of a Noctua NF-A4x10 5V PWM fan directly within the mouse body. This 4010-sized fan supports five PWM speed levels, allowing users to adjust airflow based on their comfort needs. The sensor suite pairs a 42000 DPI optical sensor with an 8kHz polling rate for precise tracking and low latency.
The physical dimensions of the device are 121.7 x 66.5 x 43.3 mm, providing a compact form factor for various grip styles. We looked at Noctua Feinmann F01 Mouse Launches with earlier while tracking Pulsar launches.
Global availability for the Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition begins on July 21, 2024, at 15:00 Beijing Time. This release date marks the first time this specific co-branded hardware will be accessible to buyers worldwide.
