ASUS ROG has unveiled the Strix GT70X 20th Anniversary Edition, a flagship esports desktop that redefines the visual experience for high-end PC builders. This system matters because it introduces holographic projection technology directly into the chassis, offering a new aesthetic layer for enthusiasts who want their hardware to perform as a display. The announcement marks the first public showing of this specific configuration at a major offline exhibition.

Holographic fans and 104L chassis define the new flagship desktop
The desktop runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 processor built on the Zen 5 architecture and 4nm process. This 16-core, 32-thread CPU boosts up to 5.6GHz and includes 208MB of combined L2 and L3 cache. It pairs with an ROG-branded RTX 5080 graphics card to handle demanding gaming workloads. The system sits on an X870 chipset motherboard to support these high-performance components.
Specifications
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 (Zen 5, 4nm, 16C/32T, 5.6GHz, 208MB Cache)
- GPU: ROG RTX 5080
- Motherboard: X870 Chipset
- Memory: 128GB DDR5
- VRAM: 16GB GDDR7
Visual customization is the standout feature, driven by three custom holographic fans that form the AniMe Holo Matrix. Two 215mm fans sit on the front panel, while a larger 380mm fan occupies the side panel. This setup allows users to project dynamic images and text directly through the case windows. The chassis itself is a massive 104-liter ATX Super Tower measuring 614.8 by 582.7 by 290mm.
Internal cooling relies on a 420mm all-in-one liquid cooler for the CPU to manage heat in such a dense build. The system includes 128GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for storage. Power is delivered by a 1000W 80PLUS Gold certified unit. Despite the heavy components, the system operates at a quiet noise level of approximately 20 decibels.
The standard ROG Strix GT70X model is priced at 70,999 CNY (around $10,441), which is around $10,441. The specific pricing for the 20th Anniversary Edition has not yet been announced. The system previously won the COMPUTEX Best Choice Award for Esports and Immersive Technology. It is currently available for purchase in China and other global markets starting July 10, 2026.
