The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 holds the largest share of the GPU market, according to the latest Steam Hardware Survey from Valve. The card accounts for 4.15% of all GPUs in the survey. It leads the RTX 4060, which sits at 4.05%, and the RTX 4060 Mobile at 3.98%.
The RTX 3060 is a previous-generation graphics card that continues to dominate the Steam hardware landscape. Its strong showing suggests many gamers are sticking with this model rather than upgrading to newer options. The RTX 50 series, which includes the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060, collectively holds a 13.41% share.

The survey also provides data on CPU and operating system preferences. Intel CPUs are present in 54.81% of systems, while AMD CPUs account for 45.19%. Windows 11 is the dominant operating system, running on 67.74% of PCs surveyed.
The RTX 3060’s lead in market share highlights its enduring popularity among PC gamers. Despite the availability of newer generations, many users continue to rely on this card for their gaming needs.
