Microsoft released City Update 15 for Microsoft Flight Simulator and MSFS 2024. This patch improves visual quality and geographic accuracy for several Midwest cities across the United States.

Patch improves visuals for Chicago and other regional locations

The update focuses on locations in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Developers added eight new areas of interest that use high-fidelity TIN surface texturing to improve terrain detail.

Chicago, Elgin, Cicero, and Arlington Heights receive updated visuals in Illinois. Minnesota gets enhancements for Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Duluth, Brooklyn Park, Woodbury, Lakeville, Plymouth, and Blaine. Wisconsin cities including Milwaukee, Madison, and Racine also appear in the patch.

The update includes a free Piper M600 aircraft available through the Expert Series 2 program. Players can download City Update 15 on Steam, Microsoft Store for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 without additional cost.
