HP equipped the laptop with an infrared camera that includes physical shutters for privacy protection. The connectivity options include two USB Type-A ports, two 10Gbps USB Type-C ports with PD and DP Alt support, one HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The initial pricing is set at CNY 5,998 (approx. $882) for the Chinese market.
The HP StarBook Plus 14 stands as a rival to Apple's MacBook Neo in the mid-range laptop segment. HP positioned the device with an OLED display that offers better color coverage than the IPS panel found on the competing Apple model. The company has not confirmed whether the laptop will launch globally or remain limited to China.
HP has not confirmed the exact launch window for international markets. The company stated that the StarBook Plus 14 may debut alongside other Wildcat Lake laptops in future releases.
