Good news folks! The GTA 6 leak train is over. We're all safe from what could've been a huge leak. The group behind these recent GTA 6 spoilers, Cyberleek, announced they're discontinuing all leak efforts. So now there's no direct danger of getting the full game released. No more playable GTA 6 will be coming out for fans and gamers to buy. They can now just wait for news from Rockstar Games to break. No more leaks from unauthorized sources.
Cyberleek group ends leak campaign after failing to reach funding target
Cyberleek set out to do this leak with a specific monetary purpose, which unfortunately did not come to fruition. They started this whole crypto-currency game to get up to $30 million market cap. So, this amount was the threshold needed to trigger the full game assets leak. And because they didn't reach that amount, that means the full game assets leak is scrapped!
Earlier Cyberleek said they were able to get ahold of the playable version of the game. According to them, it's over 200GB of data. The upload process for this data leak needed to be an anonymous uploading of the massive file. Also, they claimed that there is a 'dead man's switch' which would still kick in and reveal spoilers if they get sued. This "dead man's switch" that releases spoilers, is not verified. So, it's just a rumor. There's no proof of this automated leak process.
Even though they said they have access to the final missions and game ending, Cyberleek was very clear that they will not leak the full game. They said that they will not reveal the whole experience and end of the story. So that ends the leak cycle we've been going through lately. It's definitely an interesting case of failed crowd-funded leaks when they don't reach their money goals.
We've been following GTA 6 pretty closely. In fact, we covered this leak story about the guy threatening to release the game if they reach the crypto goal. So, we already went over the terms that would've led to the full game build getting released. So, it's good to see that those terms didn't take place and it's been scrapped. So, in the end it's them backtracking from their threat.
