Flashforge has released the Creator 5 Pro, a multi-material 3D printer designed to streamline the printing process. The device utilizes four separate toolheads to handle different filaments simultaneously. This architecture aims to reduce material waste and significantly cut down on setup times between color or material changes.
Global price set at 949 USD available now
The printer features a cubic build volume measuring 256 by 256 by 256 millimeters. It supports extrusion temperatures up to 320 degrees Celsius for the nozzle. The heated chamber can reach a maximum of 65 degrees Celsius, while the print bed reaches 120 degrees Celsius. The manufacturer lists the maximum print speed at 300 millimeters per second.
The Creator 5 Pro is available now directly from the manufacturer. The global price is set at 949 USD (about $949). Flashforge states that the separate toolhead design eliminates the need to cut filament or purge hotends. This approach results in lower material consumption and faster overall printing workflows.
Flashforge notes that the high print speed of 300 mm/s is not necessarily recommended for all types of prints. The system also lacks environmental controls for the filaments, which hang on the side without temperature regulation or drying capabilities.
Flashforge has not confirmed specific launch windows for international retail distribution beyond the direct manufacturer channel.
