Elegoo has announced a special edition of its Centauri Carbon 2 3D printer, this time in collaboration with the emoji brand. The Centauri Carbon 2 Combo Emoji Edition swaps the standard black finish for a silver chassis with clear panels and emoji graphics. It costs $489 USD, which is $40 more than the standard model at $449.

Emoji-themed PLA spools with RFID tags included
The printer is based on the Centauri Carbon 2 platform, a 3D printer platform from Elegoo. The Emoji Edition comes with a selection of 17 emoji-branded PLA colors. Each spool includes an RFID tag that the printer can automatically detect, simplifying filament selection.

Pre-orders for the Emoji Edition are open now. The live reveal is scheduled for June 4, 2026, at 9:30 AM EDT. The standard Centauri Carbon 2 Combo remains available at its regular price.

Kevin Wang, VP of Elegoo, said in a statement: "The emoji brand has always represented emotions and connection, while Elegoo stands for empowering creativity through technology. This partnership reflects our shared belief that self-expression should be joyful, simple, and accessible to everyone."
The Emoji Edition targets users who want a more personalized printing experience. The included PLA colors cover a range of hues, and the RFID system removes the need to manually configure filament settings. The printer itself retains the same build volume and features as the standard Centauri Carbon 2.
This collaboration adds a playful twist to a capable 3D printer. For $489, buyers get the hardware plus 17 emoji-themed filament spools. The standard model remains a more affordable option at $449.
