ASUS has come up with a new Cloud Storage system called Personal Space Drive. The idea is to let you have access to an online space (1TB) to manage as a hard drive. Why this is important?
ASUS Personal Space Drive integrates 1TB cloud storage into Windows File Explorer
You don't have to go through the hassle of moving files or uploading them or even switching to different apps to access files. Now you can just drag and drop your files like you would normally do it to a regular hard drive in Windows File Explorer.
Basically, this is a software-based cloud storage system built for users of ASUS Laptops. For people who want to expand their storage space without having to go out and buy a new piece of hardware. This Personal Space Drive is very much integrated with the Windows OS to give you the best possible experience in managing files.
Although, it's not a feature that's available to everyone with an ASUS device. It's a exclusive feature for certain ASUS Laptop models.
For you to start using this feature, you'll have to update the system software to certain versions, depending on the type of ASUS device. If you're an ASUS Laptop (normal type), you'll have to update the ASUS Hub Application. The version you have to update it to is V1.6.12.6. But if you're using a a (a) type of model, then you'll have to upgrade the a Hub to version V1.2.10.3.
A major setback with this feature is you must always have an internet connection if you want to access your files. There's no offline access. So, you can't access your files if you're not connected to the internet.
Although, this ensures that your files are safe and secure up in the cloud. But you need an internet connection to have access to them.
