AMD Instinct MI350P Launches as First PCIe AIC Accelerator in Four Years

has introduced the Instinct MI350P, its first PCIe add-in-card accelerator in four years. The card is designed for AI and data center workloads.

Halved MI350X chip powers new compact accelerator

The MI350P uses a chip package that is effectively half of the MI350X. It has four XCDs and 144GB of HBM3E memory across four stacks. The transistor count is 73 billion. The card measures 267mm in length and is a full-height, full-length, dual-slot design. It has a maximum thermal design power of 600W, configurable down to 450W. Cooling is passive and fanless. Power is supplied through a single 12V-2×6 connector.

The MI350P represents a return to the PCIe AIC form factor for AMD's Instinct line. The previous Instinct accelerator in this form factor was released four years ago. The card is positioned as a lower-power, more compact alternative to the MI350X.

AMD has not confirmed pricing or availability for the Instinct MI350P. The company has not disclosed performance figures or a launch timeline.
