GIGABYTE has introduced the B850M AORUS STEALTH ICE, marking its first entry into the Micro ATX back-connect motherboard market. The new board targets users seeking a compact form factor with modern connectivity options and efficient power delivery for AMD AM5 platforms.
Compact motherboard with modern connectivity and efficient power delivery for AMD AM5 platforms.
The motherboard utilizes a double-copper PCB design to support an 8+2+2 phase power delivery system. It features four DDR5 UDIMM slots capable of supporting memory speeds up to 8200 MT/s through overclocking. Storage flexibility comes from three M.2 2280 slots, with one dedicated to PCIe Gen5 x4 and two operating at PCIe Gen4 x4 speeds. Two SATA III ports provide additional storage options.

Connectivity on the B850M AORUS STEALTH ICE includes a Realtek RTL8126 chip for 5GbE wired networking. Wireless capabilities rely on a Realtek RTL8922AE module that supports Wi-Fi 7 with 160MHz channels and Bluetooth 5.4. Rear I/O ports feature one USB-C connector at 10Gbps, one USB-A port at 10Gbps, four USB-A ports at 5Gbps, and four legacy USB-A ports running at 480Mbps. Video output options include an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port and a DisplayPort 1.4 connector.
Audio processing is handled by a Realtek ALC1220 codec integrated into the board. The PCIe configuration provides one Gen5 x16 slot for direct GPU connection and one Gen4 x4 expansion slot. GIGABYTE positions this model as a specialized solution for compact builds that require high-speed networking and modern wireless standards without sacrificing storage bandwidth.
