ASUS has demonstrated its first ROG-branded DDR5 memory modules. The company showed the modules running at 8800 MT/s on its Crosshair X870E APEX motherboard.
Overclocked to 8800 MT/s with water cooling
The modules are 24 GB each and default to 6000 MT/s with CL26 timings. The overclocked speed of 8800 MT/s was achieved with CL34 timings. The overclock required water cooling to maintain sub-20C temperatures and a voltage of 1.62V. The system passed a 47-minute RunMemtestPro test with 114.50% coverage.

The motherboard used AGESA 1.3.0.1 BIOS (2301) with preliminary AMD EXPO 1.2 support. The overclock was performed by ASUS in-house overclocker Safedisk.
ASUS has not confirmed pricing or availability for the ROG 20th Edition DDR5 memory.
