CXMT DDR5 DRAM Supply Expands to Consumer Market with Multiple Brands

Chinese memory maker CXMT has started supplying DDR5 DRAM chips across the supply chain, accelerating domestic memory module production. Multiple brands have launched products based on CXMT's DDR5 chips, including server memory and consumer modules.

Powerv ships Sinker DDR5 RDIMM modules

Powerv has begun mass production and shipment of its Sinker brand DDR5 server memory, specifically DDR5 RDIMM modules running at 5,600MT/s with 64GB capacity. Comay has also introduced CXMT-based industrial and enterprise DDR5 products. On the consumer side, brands Powev, Gloway, and KingBank are offering CXMT-based DDR5 memory.

CXMT's DDR5 DRAM now reaches speeds of 8,000MT/s and a density of 24Gbit. This puts the company one generation behind the top three memory makers, which have reached 32Gbit density.

The availability of CXMT-based memory products is now underway in China, according to SCMP. The company has not confirmed further details about its plans.
