Ibiden has raised its revenue forecast for its electronic segment, driven by growing demand for AI server CPUs. The Japanese substrate maker now expects segment revenue of 330 billion yen for fiscal year 2026, up from a previous estimate of 310 billion yen.
Revenue forecast raised to 330 billion yen
The company attributes the increase to demand for general-purpose server products and switching IC products. Ibiden anticipates that CPU demand for general-purpose servers will rise as the AI industry shifts from training-centric to inference-centric workloads. The company expects its production load in 2026 to be 1.8 times that of 2024, climbing to 2.4 times by 2028.

Growth is led by demand for ASICs, AI servers, and server CPUs. However, PC-related demand is expected to decline.
Ibiden has not confirmed the exact timeline for the forecast period, which covers the fiscal year ending March 2027.
