TUXEDO Computers is introducing Nano Pro Gen15 as a diminutive mini PC that packs the latest Panther Lake silicon into a small-factor footprint. TUXEDO's latest mini-PC is interesting as it features a memory upgrade option for a class of mini-PCs that typically comes with soldered-on memory. For people who need higher memory loads for development and virtual tasks, now there's an option for a small footprint that goes well beyond what can be done with conventional integrated memory modules.

Upgradeable memory and dual 2.5GbE ports define the new Linux mini-PC

The heart of the new TUXEDO Nano Pro Gen15 mini PC is the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H CPU. The CPU uses Intel's Panther Lake silicon. This CPU has a total of 16 cores in its configuration: four Performance cores, eight Efficient cores, and four Low Power Efficient cores.

Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra X7 358H (16 cores)
  • Graphics: Intel Arc B390 (12 Xe3 cores)
  • Memory: Up to 128GB DDR5 SO-DIMM
  • Storage: 2x M.2 SSD slots (PCIe 5.0/4.0)
  • Connectivity: Dual 2.5GbE, Wi-Fi 7, USB4/Thunderbolt 4

As for GPU performance, we have the integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe3 cores. The Arc B390 has a maximum GPU clock of 2.5 GHz.

Two upgradable DDR5 SO-DIMM slots are installed in the TUXEDO Nano Pro Gen15. We get dual-channel memory with up to 7200 MT/s. The maximum memory capacity is 128GB.

By comparison, Intel's official memory specs for Core Ultra X7 358H state support for LPDDR5X-9600 only and a maximum capacity of 96GB. No word on how TUXEDO gets the higher memory capacity and speed while working against the official memory limits of the silicon.

For storage, there's two M.2 SSD slots: one PCIe 5.0 x4 SSD (2242 or 2280) slot and another PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slot (2242). Dual 2.5GbE Ethernet, Intel Wi-Fi 7, USB4/TB4 (40Gbps), USB-C 20Gbps, three USB-A 10Gbps, and four displays capable of 4K (2x HDMI and 2x USB-C) are supported. The dimensions are 110 x 117.5 x 49 mm. The weight is ~1 kg.

The TUXEDO Nano Pro Gen15 preorders are now open in Germany. The price starts from 1749 EUR (~$1,953). The first shipments should happen in the middle of November.

We get TUXEDO OS or Ubuntu with an option for 11. TUXEDO Nano Pro Gen15 is setting the bar for high memory mini-PCs with the latest Intel Panther Lake silicon.
