For those eagerly awaiting the full launch of No Rest for the Wicked, the price will increase from $40 to $60 upon the release of version 1.0 in March 2027. This price adjustment reflects the major changes Moon Studios has made to the game's core mechanics throughout the early access phase. Those who bought the early access version at the lower price will get the full game without extra charges, but newcomers will have to pay the full price. The change is important because it marks the move from an early access build to a fully featured game.
Moon Studios raises the price to $60 for the March 2027 launch while overhauling the progression system
No Rest for the Wicked will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 in March 2027. It will also come to Xbox Series S|X and Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in the future. Moon Studios has been working for months to optimize the core technology to make sure the game performs well on consoles.
Their goal is to have the game perform like butter at launch, addressing concerns around stability in action RPGs. By supporting multiple platforms, Moon Studios can reach a wider audience while still delivering high-performance experiences on key platforms.
With version 1.0, Moon Studios is removing all traditional attributes. Instead, the game will have a class-based progression system with 24 different classes to choose from. Players can unlock more than 280 traits which contribute to a common pool.
This gives players a lot of flexibility in how they customize their experience, no matter which weapon they're using. You'll have six trait slots, with two offensive, two defensive, one utility, and one ascension slots. This system allows for a lot of flexibility, letting players mix and match traits from different classes. It's not tied down to specific character builds.
Other new features include Serum Cores in place of raw stats, allowing players to change builds at any Whisper point in the game. Stealth elements have been updated to add enemy vision cones and natural reaction behavior. This puts more emphasis on tactical engagement.
According to Moon Studios, the 1.0 version doubles the content, including new zones, factions, and bosses to deepen the end-game experience. There will be an open beta in December where players can try out all 24 classes. This gives players a chance to experience these new features before the full launch.
In our last No Rest for the Wicked update coverage, many of the balance and stability topics from this update were similar. It shows Moon Studios' iterative development process. The upcoming December open beta is a clear moment for the community to test these changes in action.
March 2027 is the end of the early access period and the start of the full commercial window. Players can start planning their purchases and strategizing based on the confirmed December beta and March release window.
