Lords of the Fallen 2 Gets Co-op, New Biome and Multiplatform Release in Fall 2026

CI Games regained publishing rights for Lords of the Fallen 2 and ended its PC exclusivity deal with Epic Games Store. The studio now plans to release the game on multiple platforms simultaneously in Fall 2026.

Developers expand platform availability and rebuild environments for a more reactive experience.

The upcoming sequel targets a broader audience by adding full shared-progression co-op from launch instead of patching it later. Developers aim for a bigger, more reactive, and more player-driven experience than the original entry.

Engineers rebuilt the Umbral Realm after early footage drew criticism that the environment felt too static. The studio also confirmed a new Japanese-inspired biome called Yisugen and introduced a fast, stylish katana weapon class.

Player decisions will shape grounded NPC interactions and lead to multiple meaningful endings across different playthroughs. A Nintendo Switch 2 version remains in development alongside standard PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and X releases.

The title may eventually compete with Rockstar's upcoming GTA 6 when both games launch within the same year. CI Games continues refining core mechanics while expanding platform availability for the sequel.
