JBL has unveiled two new flagship loudspeakers at High End Vienna 2026: the Summit Everest and Summit K2. These models represent the next generation of the company's Project series, aiming to push acoustic performance further.

Dual 15-inch woofers power the Summit Everest
The Summit Everest is a 3.5-way floorstanding speaker. It uses dual 15-inch woofers and a new mid/high system with three 2-inch compression drivers. The Summit K2 is a 15-inch 3-way floorstanding speaker, featuring three 1.5-inch compression drivers in its mid/high system.

Both speakers incorporate JBL's patented technologies: HC4 cones, Sonoglass HDI horns, and MultiCap crossover networks. The enclosures use a prestressed press curved wall structure with internal offset, multi-bracing, and damping. Custom JBL | IsoAcoustics isolation stands decouple the speakers from the floor.

Summit K2 uses a single 15-inch woofer
The Summit Everest includes dual 10-inch cast frame Differential Drive mid-bass drivers and dual 15-inch cast frame Differential Drive woofers. The Summit K2 uses a single 10-inch mid-bass driver and a single 15-inch woofer. Both models feature rhodium-plated, carbon fiber-wrapped binding posts and internal OCC copper wiring.
Pricing is set at $159,990 per pair for the Summit Everest and $99,990 per pair for the Summit K2. Global availability is expected in late 2026 through authorized JBL dealers and partners.
The Summit Everest and Summit K2 join the Summit Makalu, Pumori, and Ama to complete the five-model Summit Series. JBL's David Tovissi stated that the new speakers honor four generations of engineering while introducing technology that advances the state of the art.
These speakers are confirmed as the latest additions to JBL's flagship lineup, with detailed specs and pricing now public. No further models in the series have been announced.
