Broadcom has released VMware Fusion Pro 26H1 for macOS. The update adds support for several new guest operating systems and fixes a high severity privilege escalation bug.
New guest OS support and security fix
The new version supports Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, Fedora 43, Fedora 44, SUSE Linux Enterprise 16, openSUSE 16.0, and FreeBSD 15.0. It also enables remote connections to ARM-based ESX hosts and introduces recording and reporting timestamps for virtual machines.

The update is available now for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Broadcom describes Fusion Pro as the easiest, fastest, and most reliable way to run Windows and other x86/ARM operating systems on a Mac without rebooting.
The release addresses vulnerability VMSA-2026-0003, which affected version 25H2. Broadcom has not disclosed further details about the bug.
