HYTE has updated its Nexus app, a central app that provides a single solution for monitoring and RGB control for your PC, to 3.1.0. This new version is a complete overhaul from its previous incarnation Nexus 2.0. For those that need to watch over their PC or tweak those RGB settings, there is some news here for you. This new release is designed to work with not only , but also Mac and ! HYTE's ecosystem just got a little bigger in support of these platforms.

Cross-platform update brings lightweight hardware monitoring to three operating systems

Nexus is your one stop shop to monitoring all of your hardware telemetry and tweak your aesthetic. Nexus offers hardware monitoring integration and OpenRGB SDK integration for lighting control. You can even check your game stats and control your remote devices via web or mobile. Nexus is designed to be lightweight on resources so it won't affect system performance when running.

HYTE says that the installation size of the app is under 50MB. When using the app, we noted it was only taking up around 142MB of RAM. The load on the CPU is very low, maxing out at 0.2-0.5% when stressed. Given the app's stats it is very light in relation to other apps on your system. This is perfect for when you need to have other stuff in the background as well!

Some of the new features with this update are custom widgets to customize your display. There is remote control of your connected devices from afar as well. Plus, OpenRGB integration gives you a lot of options for your lighting hardware. There is no information about price or availability besides the digital release. Big changes from HYTE on the software front here!

HYTE is really improving their software suite with this release of Nexus 3.1.0. Now it supports 3 major platforms with very low overhead on resources. Get the monitoring of your hardware and control your lighting and remote management. This is a fresh new way of thinking in comparison to Nexus 2.0.
