Ubiquiti launches fanless industrial switches and IP67 U7 Industrial access point for harsh environments

Ubiquiti expanded its industrial networking lineup on October 8 with new switches and an access point designed for harsh environments. These products bring higher durability and flexible mounting options to facilities that require reliable connectivity. Buyers operating in factories or outdoor sites now have hardware built to withstand dust, water, and extreme temperatures.

New hardware brings DIN rail mounting and dual DC power to factories

The new hardware includes industrial-grade switches and the U7 Industrial access point. This launch adds to the existing UniFi Industrial ecosystem, which previously introduced a 10G gateway earlier this year. The devices target users who need robust infrastructure that can survive in demanding physical conditions.

Specifications

  • Switch Enclosure: Aluminum extrusion casing with die-cast metal backplate
  • Switch Cooling: Fanless operation within wide temperature range
  • Switch Power: 2 DC power input paths
  • Switch Features: Alarm relay for external monitoring, three-side DIN rail mounting support, optional PoE, 2.5GbE
  • AP Enclosure: Die-cast metal casing

The industrial switches feature an aluminum extrusion casing with a die-cast metal backplate for structural strength. They operate fanlessly within a wide temperature range to prevent overheating in enclosed spaces. Each switch supports two DC power input paths for redundancy and includes an alarm relay for external monitoring.

Mounting flexibility is a key feature, as the switches support three-side DIN rail installation. They offer optional PoE capabilities and 2.5GbE ports to handle higher bandwidth needs. The U7 Industrial access point uses a die-cast metal housing and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It comes with high-gain directional antennas and allows for optional external omnidirectional antennas or a custom RF isolator.
