TrimUI introduced two new vertical gaming handhelds that expand its lineup with distinct hardware approaches. The company unveiled the Brick Hammer Pro U and the Brick Pro to target different segments of the portable gaming market.
Two new vertical gaming consoles target distinct portable markets
The Brick Hammer Pro U features a metal shell and runs Android out of the box. It uses a Snapdragon G2 Gen 1 system on chip paired with an Adreno A21 graphics processor. The device includes a 3.95-inch IPS display that supports a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels at a refresh rate of 60 hertz.
The Brick Pro takes a different path with a polycarbonate shell and Linux operating system. It relies on an Allwinner A133p quad-core processor for its core computing tasks. The handheld also uses a 3.95-inch IPS LCD panel that matches the screen size of its sibling device.
Both devices share a vertical form factor but diverge in their material choices and software ecosystems. The Brick Hammer Pro U targets users who prefer Android compatibility with higher performance silicon. The Brick Pro offers a Linux-based alternative for developers or open-source enthusiasts.
The announcement confirms TrimUI continues to produce dedicated handheld consoles rather than focusing solely on emulators or PC peripherals. These two models provide clear hardware distinctions between premium metal construction and budget-friendly polycarbonate options.
