LG builds bipedal robots with Jetson Thor and constructs 80MW AI factories
The collaboration centers on three main hardware and software pillars: humanoid robots, AI factories, and next-generation vehicles. LG will utilize NVIDIA Isaac GR00T, Jetson Thor, and Halos for Robotics to build its upcoming bipedal humanoid platform. This system aims to combine advanced safety features with high-performance computing to enable complex physical tasks in unstructured environments.

Technical specifications for the humanoid platform include the Jetson Thor processor and the Isaac GR00T software framework. The bipedal robot is scheduled to make its public debut at CES 2027. Additionally, LG will unveil the CLOiD, a wheel-based robot designed specifically for use within its Tennessee washing machine manufacturing lines.
Beyond robotics, the partnership addresses large-scale AI infrastructure and automotive software. LG plans to construct AI factory reference sites using NVIDIA DSX and Vera Rubin architectures. A larger 80MW-scale AI factory in Cheonan is expected to open in the first half of 2028. The automotive division will develop AI-defined vehicles built on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform for infotainment and software integration.
