Thermal Grizzly DeltaMate MPII CPU Block Announced for AM5 and FCLGA1851

Thermal Grizzly has introduced the DeltaMate MPII, a split water cooling block designed for modern desktop processors. Thermal Grizzly released the DeltaMate MPII for AMD AM5 sockets on June 12, 2024, as a split water cooling block designed for advanced thermal control.

Split water cooling block targets AMD and Intel platforms with mixed fin density design

The product targets both AMD and Intel platforms with specific socket support. The initial release covers the AM5 socket while maintaining backward compatibility with older AM4 processors. Thermal Grizzly also prepared an Intel variant for the FCLGA1851 socket, which supports previous LGA1700 CPUs as well.

Thermal engineers designed the cooler body using milled copper and applied a nickel plating to improve durability. The unit features standard G1/4 inch brass connectors for tubing attachment. A polished borosilicate glass window sits on top of the block, allowing users to view the internal components through anodized aluminum framing.

The cooling design employs mixed fin densities to balance heat transfer and water flow efficiency. High-performance 0.2mm fins concentrate in the hotspot area directly above the processor die. Surrounding regions use slightly wider 0.3mm or 0.4mm fins to optimize coolant distribution across the rest of the block.

The AM5 version carries a price tag of 349.9 EUR, which translates to approximately $405 for European customers. The Intel FCLGA1851 version will arrive at a later date, though Thermal Grizzly has not yet confirmed the specific release timeline or pricing for that variant.
