The unit features an Intel Celeron J4125 processor paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM. It runs Synology's DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, which includes software suites like Synology Drive and Active Backup for business continuity.

Synology claims the FS200T delivers up to 2.5 times faster file transfer speeds compared to previous models in its lineup. The reported file transfer speed improvements stem from the six-bay SSD configuration working alongside the 2.5GbE and 1GbE network interfaces that support failover and link aggregation.
The FlashStation FS200T is available exclusively in Japan starting June 1, 2026. Synology has not yet released pricing details or confirmed availability for other regions.
