Hong Kong pricing and launch date also leaked.

Hong Kong pricing has been leaked at 12,099 HKD (about $1,544) for the 256GB version, which represents a 19% increase over the Xperia 1 VII. A possible launch date of May 20 has been suggested for Hong Kong, while European units may ship in late June.

The Xperia 1 VIII is rumored to offer a two-day battery life and dramatically better low-light photos and videos thanks to the new 48MP sensor. However, Sony has not officially confirmed the discontinuation of the continuous optical zoom, the price increase, or the launch date.
