Sony Interactive Entertainment's new game Saros has sold over 300,000 copies in its first two weeks, according to analytics firm Alinea Analytics. The game launched globally on April 30, 2026.
Analyst estimates show strong player retention
Alinea Analytics estimates that Saros generated approximately $22 million in gross revenue from those sales. However, the game reportedly had a development budget of $76 million. Alinea describes Saros's start as "lukewarm" and suggests that developer Housemarque could struggle to break even on the project.

Despite the slow start, player engagement appears strong. Alinea reports that an estimated 20% of players have already beaten the game, indicating a solid retention rate.
Alinea Analytics provided the sales and financial estimates, but official data from Sony or Housemarque has not been released. The company has not confirmed whether Saros will ultimately turn a profit.
