Samsung Electronics announced the Odyssey G8 (G80HF) monitor on April 28. The company recently launched the display in its German online store. The product supports dual-mode switching between two distinct resolution and refresh rate configurations.
The monitor features a Fast IPS panel with a native resolution of 5120×2880 and a pixel density of 218 PPI. Users can switch to a 2560×1440 mode that runs at 360Hz. The display achieves a peak brightness of 350 nits with a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. It supports HDR10+ Gaming and offers variable refresh rate compatibility with both AMD and NVIDIA technologies. The panel delivers a 1ms GtG response time.
The connectivity suite includes one DisplayPort 2.1 port and two HDMI 2.1 ports. The unit also provides a 3.5mm audio output jack and an integrated USB hub.
