announced plans to mass produce its CMM-D 3.1 memory modules in the fourth quarter of 2026. The modules are based on the CXL 3.1 standard and use a PCIe 6.0 interface.

Sampling begins Q3 2026

Each module can hold up to 1TB of memory and delivers a bandwidth of 72GB/s. Samsung claims performance is doubled compared to the previous CXL 2.0 generation, which offered a maximum of 256GB capacity and 36GB/s bandwidth.
