Philips has released a new gaming monitor that pushes refresh rates to 420Hz while keeping the price near $191. This combination of high speed and low cost targets competitive gamers who need smooth motion without spending hundreds of dollars on premium displays. The 25M2N3200XI model delivers these specs on a compact 24.5-inch screen, making it a practical option for desks with limited space.

Fast IPS panel and mechanical arm stand included
The monitor uses a Fast IPS panel to balance color accuracy with fast pixel switching. It runs at a 2560×1440 resolution, which we call 2K, providing sharper images than standard 1080p screens. The panel covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and 91% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, ensuring vibrant visuals for both gaming and media consumption.
Specifications
- Panel Size: 24.5 inches
- Resolution: 2560×1440 (2K)
- Refresh Rate: 420Hz
- Panel Type: Fast IPS
- Stand: Omni-directional mechanical arm
Speed is the main focus here, with a stated 1ms gray-to-gray response time and 500 nits of peak brightness. The contrast ratio sits at a standard 1000:1, and the display supports 8-bit color depth. These specifications aim to reduce motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced action sequences in games.
Philips includes an omni-directional mechanical arm stand that allows for flexible positioning and ergonomic adjustments. Connectivity options consist of two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The unit also supports VESA 100x100mm wall mounting for users who prefer a cleaner desk setup.
The monitor is priced at 1299 CNY (around $191) and is currently available on JD.com in China. We looked at ViewSonic Launches VX25G26-2K-W earlier while tracking Philips launches. This release adds another high-refresh-rate option to the budget gaming market for Chinese consumers.
