OPPO Reno15 A Launches in Japan With 7,000mAh Battery and 50MP Camera

OPPO has expanded its Reno A lineup with the new Reno15 A smartphone, launching in Japan on June 25, 2026. The device targets users who prioritize long battery life and fast charging speeds over flagship-level processing power. It arrives with a significantly larger power cell than its predecessor, addressing a common pain point for daily smartphone users.

Mid-range smartphone features bypass charging and AI tools alongside large power cell

The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor paired with a 6.6-inch OLED display. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 1,400 nits for better outdoor visibility. OPPO positions this model as a practical mid-range option rather than a high-performance gaming machine.

OPPO claims this capacity allows for up to 2.5 days of use with six hours of daily screen time. The device also introduces bypass charging to the Reno A series, allowing power to flow directly to the system while gaming or watching videos.

Camera duties are handled by a triple rear setup featuring a 50MP wide lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. A 50MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone ships with AI Mind Space, AI Summarization, AI Writer, and AI Photo Editing tools to enhance the software experience.

The OPPO Reno15 A starts at 64,800 JPY for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The higher-tier 12GB RAM and 256GB model costs 76,800 JPY.
