OPPO Find X9 Ultra Launches in Japan with World’s First 10x Optical Zoom

OPPO has introduced the Find X9 Ultra, a new flagship smartphone designed specifically for the Japanese market. The device debuts with a comprehensive five-camera array that includes a world-first 10x optical zoom lens. The handset runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. OPPO equipped the phone with a 7,050mAh battery to support its power-hungry components. The system operates on ColorOS 16, which is built on top of Android 16.

OPPO claims the 50MP telephoto camera achieves its 10x optical zoom through a unique periscope structure that reflects light five times. The main camera system features dual 200MP sensors for wide-angle and portrait telephoto shots. A 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 3.2MP multispectral camera complete the imaging setup.

The 6.8-inch AMOLED display supports a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, reaching 144Hz during gaming sessions. The device measures 8.7 to 9.1mm in thickness and weighs between 235 and 236 grams. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
