The hotline was intended as a joke, but fans took it seriously, leaving questions, kind words, food orders, and even concerns about the studio's refrigerator. One fan suggested making a game about fighting bugs, noting the abundance of bugs to choose from.
Alongside the hotline news, New Blood Interactive released ULTRAKILL Act III 'Godfist Suicide', which adds Layer 8: Fraud and new levels to the game.
New Blood Interactive has not confirmed whether they will act on any of the fan suggestions or if the hotline will become a recurring feature. The studio said they will have some answers soon.
