MSI's Raider 16 HX B2W gaming laptop is launched for Japan with a new gaming laptop configuration focused on high-end silicon and fast refresh rate display. The new laptop is interesting for consumers who want a smaller 16-inch form-factor with the latest in Intel Core Ultra and NVIDIA RTX 50 series hardware ahead of a global launch. The new gaming laptop will be available starting October 22 with an open pricing format so retailers can set prices and the manufacturer can prioritize getting the hardware out.
MSI launches the Raider 16 HX B2W gaming laptop in Japan featuring high-end silicon and a 240Hz display.
The new MSI Raider 16 HX B2W gaming laptop features a new configuration with Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU combo. This is the kind of high performance configuration you want if you need tons of multi-core performance for productivity as well as dedicated GPU performance for gaming and content creation. The laptop is highlighted as one of MSI's high performance Raider laptops and targeted specifically for Japanese consumers.
Specifications
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU
- Display: 16-inch, 2,560 x 1,600, 240Hz
- Memory: 32GB RAM
- Storage: 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD
Display is handled by a 16-inch 2,560×1,600 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate panel. The system packs 32GB RAM and 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD for storage. Plenty of RAM and SSD space for all the new apps you want to run. You get Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, and 2.5Gb Ethernet for high bandwidth local networks.
The laptop weights 2.45Kg and features a 91.8Wh battery. All this tells us that there is a good balance here between performance hardware and battery power/portability. We don't know the TPD or cooling specifications for the GPU in the initial announcement. Not having GPU power specifications means we don't know the exact performance ceiling of this RTX 5070 Ti configuration yet.
Earlier we covered the MSI Stealth 16 AI+ laptop with similar RTX 5070 Ti graphics with a massive price drop. This previously mentioned laptop is different in chassis design and capabilities and is an interesting contrast to the new MSI Raider 16 HX B2W's market launch. Still this new MSI Raider laptop is unique with its specific configuration and market launch for Japan.
The MSI Raider 16 HX B2W is now available for purchase in Japan starting October 22. Pricing is open which means prices vary by retailer instead of a set MSRP price from the manufacturer. It's a new hardware launch to get this particular high-spec configuration out immediately for Japan.
