Apple is preparing to release macOS 27 next month. The update is expected to introduce several new features, including a significantly upgraded Siri and AI-powered tools across the system.
AI Siri and Safari Tab Cleanup lead the update
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, macOS 27 will include a new Siri with an AI chatbot interface and agent capabilities. Safari will gain a "Tab Cleanup" feature that uses AI to group tabs. The Photos app will receive three new editing tools: Extend, Enhance, and Reframe. The Shortcuts app will support natural language creation. The update also brings Liquid Glass design improvements and touch optimization for the upcoming MacBook Ultra.
The MacBook Ultra, rumored to be Apple's first touchscreen Mac, is expected to launch later this year. It is not yet confirmed by Apple.
Gurman has not provided an exact release date for macOS 27, stating only that it is weeks away. Apple has not officially confirmed the update or its features.
