Lian Li EDGE Hub ADV shuts down PC if GPU cable overheats

GPU power connectors are a known failure point in modern builds, and LIAN LI addresses this risk with the EDGE Hub ADV. This internal hub monitors the temperature at the graphics card power connection to prevent hardware damage. Buyers who use high-power GPUs can now track connector heat directly from their system software. The device integrates into the PC case to provide early warnings before a cable melts or fails.

The hub uses a sensor in the 12V-2×6 cable to trigger automatic shutdown

The hub connects to the motherboard via USB and manages six PWM fan headers. It also provides four USB headers that expand into seven downstream USB connections. LIAN LI includes a 650mm 12V-2×6 cable with a built-in NTC sensor for the primary monitoring function. This sensor sends temperature data to the hub, which relays the information to the L-Connect 3 software.
