Lexar has introduced the D70E portable solid-state drive, a compact storage device designed for high-speed data transfer. The company announced the product on May 12, positioning it as a solution for users who need reliable and fast external storage in a small form factor.
Compact drive features dual USB-A and USB-C ports for high-speed data transfer
The D70E features a dual-interface design that includes both USB-A and USB-C ports. The USB-A port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 standards with a maximum data rate of 10Gbps. The USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 standards, enabling speeds up to 20Gbps. This dual connectivity allows the drive to work with a wide range of modern computers and mobile devices.
Lexar offers the D70E in three storage capacities: 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. Performance varies depending on the interface and capacity selected. When connected via USB-A, the drive delivers maximum sequential read speeds of 1000MB/s and write speeds of 900MB/s. Using the USB-C interface boosts read speeds to 2000MB/s. Write speeds on USB-C reach 1300MB/s for the 512GB model and 1800MB/s for the 1TB and 2TB versions.
The device comes with a five-year limited warranty from Lexar. This coverage provides long-term assurance for the hardware's durability and performance. The company has not yet disclosed specific pricing or regional availability details for the new drive.
