Lenovo has announced the Legion Y70 gaming smartphone, set to launch in China on May 19. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and has appeared on Geekbench with scores of 2950 single-core and 9796 multi-core.
Benchmark scores show clear performance gap
The phone features a 6.82-inch 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It packs an 8000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The camera system includes a 50MP Sony LYT-710 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front camera. It comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. A large vapor chamber cooling system is also included.

The Legion Y70 launches in China on May 19. Global availability has not been confirmed.
Compared to the RedMagic 11 Pro, which scores 3741 single-core and 11634 multi-core on Geekbench, the Legion Y70 is about 21% lower in single-core performance and 16% lower in multi-core performance. The RedMagic 11 Pro uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Lenovo has not revealed pricing for the Legion Y70. The company has also not confirmed a global launch window.
