Lenovo has launched the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11, a 14-inch convertible laptop powered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 chipset. The new model offers significantly longer battery life than its predecessor.
Snapdragon X2 Plus chipset and 60 Wh battery
The laptop features a 60 Wh battery, which Lenovo rates for over 33 hours of 1080p local video playback at 150 nits. That is more than 50 percent longer than the previous model's 21.5 hours. Buyers can choose between 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-9523 RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7. Two 1200p 60 Hz touchscreen display options are available: an OLED panel with 600 nits peak brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3 color coverage, or an IPS panel with 400 nits and 45 percent NTSC color space.
Pricing starts at 1110 GBP (about $1,481) in the UK, ranges from 1,159 to 1,350 EUR in the Eurozone, and is 2199 AUD (about $1,574) in Australia. The laptop is available now in the UK, Eurozone, and Australia.
The IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 replaces the earlier 14Q8X9 model, which used older Snapdragon X Plus chipsets and had a 57 Wh battery. The new model brings a larger battery and a more efficient processor, resulting in the improved battery life.
